Geothermal:

Not familiar with geothermal heat pump systems?

Here are some links you can use to educate yourself. The U.S. Department of Energy explains everything a home or business owner needs to know about these systems. Want another source? Try the Consumer Energy Center. Even more information can be found at Renewable Heating 101.com.

Another great source of information is the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA)!

Facts about our service area:

We service Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

The average ground temperature in this region is about 50-57 degrees Fahrenheit, which is ideal for geothermal application!

Grants and incentives for geothermal application are offered for business and home owners by the federal government, states (& D.C.), and many of their counties.

Maryland and certain counties in Virginia exempt business and home owners from paying sales aod use tax for their purchased geothermal energy equipment.

Funds alloted to Geothermal Energy grants deplete quickly. Maryland recently added additional funding.
